Friendly instruction is provided for the novice fisherman and we are guides to the professional Angler. Family or group trips of all ages are encouraged to participate in an unforgettable fishing and learning experience. We are friendly, experienced, local professionals that fish for a living year round.

Licenses, Tackle, Bait and Ice will be provided on all of our excursions. Customers bring their own food and drink, however, cooler space and the ice to keep it cold are provided.

Our boat is a custom designed 40' fiberglass Key West charter boat with a 14 ft beam to give it a comfortable, stable ride on the water and a roomy back deck that can support 5 fishing chairs. Our twin Caterpillar diesel engines gives the Southbound the speed to get to the fishing grounds faster!

The Southbound has the latest in marine electronics including GPS, Loran, Radar, Color Depth Sounder, VHF Radio, CB, and Cell phone. The boat is equipped with a stereo CD player, so if you would like to listen to music, please bring your favorite CD's and unless it's really bad, we'll play it for you.

Our fishing equipment is state of the art. Having the right tackle for different anglers and conditions is important, and we offer a wide range of tackle so we can accommodate both the beginner and the seasoned angler. USCG Licensed and with over 20 years fishing the Florida Keys, Captain Richard Houde knows the fishing patterns in this area.
